Unfortunately, many NHS GP surgeries have stopped offering ear syringing.
At Dickson Chemist, we’ve introduced this private add-on service so you can still access safe, pharmacist-led ear irrigation locally — without referral delays.
Service Fee: £40 (£60 includes both ears if needed)
Appointment Length: Approximately 20 minutes
Location: Various in Glasgow and Lanarkshire
Availability: Weekdays and selected Saturdays
What to Expect

Pre-treatment advice: You’ll be asked to use olive oil or sodium bicarbonate drops for 3–5 days before your visit.

Professional ear examination: We’ll check your ears and confirm if irrigation is suitable.

Gentle cleaning: Using a warm water irrigation device, we’ll flush away excess wax safely and comfortably.

Aftercare: We’ll ensure your ears are clear and provide guidance to prevent future build-up.
If we identify anything that needs medical follow-up (infection, perforation, etc.), we’ll refer you to your GP or ENT specialist.
